Dan Crow from Google spoke at a Search Engine Marketing New England event, and mentioned a new potentially very useful tag “unavailable_after”. With the tag you will be able to indicate to Google when a page will no longer be available. The tag can potentially be used on offer pages and a large number of other types.

Danny Sullivan writes: “Google is undertaking the most radical change to its search results ever, introducing a “Universal Search” system that will blend listings from its news, video, images, local and book search engines among those it gathers from crawling web pages.”This basically means that you will see a mix of different types of results, for many more if not all searches on Google.
PS. It’s not quite clear wether it’s Google 2.0 or 3.0: other people and see comments on Danny’s blog think it’s Google 3.0.

Google launched its new version of Google Analytics recently. Accounts have been starting to get updated over the last couple of days.
