URL encode & decode

This form allows you to quickly URL encode and decode a text. This is useful when you want to add special characters to a URL parameter. E.g. to track a referrer from an e-mail newsletter or AdWords campaign.

Graceful degradation

This form is an example of graceful degradation of functionality. Client-side JavaScript functionality is used by default. This lightens server loads and greatly improves the users experience as the output is calculated very quickly. However, if the user has JavaScript disabled - or uses a browser that doesn't support JavaScript - the input is sent to the server which returns the processed input. This ensures that the form keeps working correctly regardless of the user's browser settings.
