This tool lets you quickly view metadata across multiple sites and/or pages. Simply enter one or more URLs in the box and press copy metadata and it will show you the content of the <title> element and <meta name="description" http-equiv="description" content="..." /> or <meta name="keywords" http-equiv="keywords" content="..." /> attributes.
Please be patient as processing may take a minute (depending on how quick the sites you are checking are)!
The title is an important place to use your keyphrases as search engines see it as a summary of your webpage. The title and description are important as they are shown on the search engine result pages. They are the first contact of (potential) visitors with your website. It is therefore important you get it right.
Please note that not all metadata is important. The keyword tag is no longer used by any of the major search engines. I've included it because it is handy to get a quick overview of the type of keywords your competitors may be using.
The tool on this page allows you to quickly view meta data (title, description and/or keywords) from a list of urls you provide. It allows you to quickly check your own website or have a peek at what your competitors are writing.
